A healthy lifestyle involves a wholesome diet, sleep and regular exercise.

Sleep (my number 1!)

If you don’t have enough sleep this will affect your eating choices, mental health, attitude, energy & effectiveness.

Food choices

Focus on what you can eat and not what you can’t.

Try:

Moderation is the key, allow all foods but monitor portion size, limit processed foods & sugar intake.

Water

Hydration is the key to health & vitality.

Flush toxins from your body  – think of your body as a toilet, you need to flush it and water is required to flush.

Try:

Drink a minimum of 2 litres a day, and an extra litre for every hour of work or exercise or on a hot day.

Exercise

You need to exercise to ensure your body, brain and hormones function optimally.

Do what you enjoy, whether it be dancing, swimming, cycling, pilates, or even gardening.

Try:

Make it social, have a buddy, create a routine

Keep moving and walk a minimum of 30min a day

Avoid Excess Stress

Excess stress raises cortisol levels which can severely impair your metabolism. Stress also leads to depression.

Try:

Meditation, time at the beach and nature walks.
