Following a cancer diagnosis in 2015, Axios CEO Bentley Klein was motivated by his personal story of illness and recovery, pledging to put social responsibility right up the top of the agenda for Axios Financial Solutions. In turn, he has inspired a team focus on fundraising, giving back and supporting worthwhile causes.
Causes we’re actively passionate about:
A fundraising initiative run by Cerebral Palsy Alliance, the Axios team join forces each year to walk 10,000 steps per day for 28 days in the month of September. This money helps provide vital equipment, therapy and services to kids and adults living with cerebral palsy.
For the first time this year, four members of the Axios team gave up sugar for the month of February. Together, they raised funds to support young Australians experiencing serious disadvantage.
Let’s Beat Bowel Cancer
Axios has been actively involved in raising much-needed funds for Let’s Beat Bowel Cancer. This not for profit initiative holds a vision to increase public awareness, research and medical advances in order to improve the survival rate of bowel cancer sufferers.
Pro Bono Work
In addition to participating in annual fundraisers, Bentley and the Axios Team provide pro bono financial advice to families that have been touched by cancer, via the Victorian Cancer Council. This is a matter near to our heart, so we will continue to do great work in this space.
